Infusion therapy is drug treatment that is administered non-orally — usually intravenously (i.e., by IV), but also sometimes epidurally (through the spinal cord) or by intramuscular injection. Often infusion therapy is the best or only way for a patient to receive a sufficient dose of medication. Infusions can also eliminate the need for constant dosing orally or by injection — some infusions are schedule as infrequently as once per year.
Our infusion center offers patients a safe, more convenient and sometimes less costly alternative to receiving infusions in the hospital. Wait times for scheduling therapy can be shorter than for the hospital, and it’s often less hassle to complete your appointment in our ambulatory center.
We offer infusion therapy for a wide-range of medications. All infusion procedures are supervised by Dr. McAdam. If you are a referring physician or a patient interested in learning more about our infusion capabilities, please contact us.
